Milan Design Week 2024, Muller Van Severen, BD Barcelona
Event
Milan Design Week 2024 marked the first collaboration between BD Barcelona and Belgian design duo Muller Van Severen. The timing was particularly significant: BD had just renewed its brand identity, and this activation at Capsule Plaza served as its first major international presentation. The focal piece was Bridges, a new cabinet collection unveiled to the world for the first time.

The Bridges cabinets originated from the “Onda” vase series that MVS had designed for Bitossi: ceramic silhouettes translated into sculptural storage pieces, conceived as small architectural forms. This origin defined the entire communication system. The same forms, the same high-gloss finish, and the same chromatic intensity were carried through flyers, catalogues, and printed materials. Product and message operated as one.
The narrative positioned Bridges not simply as furniture, but as sculpture as well. The INTERZONE installation at Capsule Plaza made that concept tangible in space.
Bridges went on to become one of BD’s best-selling products.
