The design, production and dissemination of the presentation event of the Tones collection, authored by the artist Claudia Valsells for the designer rug brand nanimarquina. We held an exclusive breakfast for friends and acquaintances, members of the press and selected opinion leaders in the gallery that represents the artist, Alzueta Gallery.

By means of a careful arrangement of the rugs in the space, complemented by a range of original canapés and an interesting conversation between Nani Marquina and the collection's designer, Claudia Valsells, we aimed to explain the core thread of the collection: colour as the main tool for designing Tones. This is a differential aspect with respect to the traditional process of designing a rug, normally characterised by the use of symmetry and geometry. Caterers Laura and Andrea from VER AGUAS treated us to a delicious and nutritious breakfast inspired by the chromatic harmony of the collection.

“The design process was a journey of opening up avenues through my proposals of colour and patterns, and, as we progressed, the sense of colour in the collection became increasingly heightened. It wasn't just about creating pieces that were decorative, but also giving the colour compositions a meaning in the function of the rug itself. It was the combination of Nani's expertise in her field and mine in colour that yielded the result we see now. We merged two crafts to bring about a collection and it worked.” – Claudia Valsells
